Frequently Asked Questions

  • Typical transit time from China to the UK is around 6–8 weeks, depending on sailing schedules, customs clearance, and port congestion. We'll keep you updated throughout the process.
  • CBM is charged based on the tier you book. Minor variations are normal, but significant differences may require an adjustment or upgrade to the next tier. We'll always discuss this with you first before making any changes.
  • Import duty and VAT are not included in the container space price, as these depend on the value and type of goods being imported. We manage the customs process and will advise you on what to expect.
  • You'll need to upload your supplier receipts, item details, and vendor contact information. We'll guide you through this step-by-step after booking.
  • Delays can occasionally occur due to customs inspections, documentation checks, or port congestion. In some cases, this can result in additional port or storage fees of around £200 per day. As part of our fully managed service, we work proactively to minimise delays by ensuring documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time. Where delays do occur, we absorb and manage any applicable fees, so you're protected from unexpected costs and kept informed at every stage.
  • Once you've completed the handover form, we take over supplier coordination, collection, and shipping. You won't need to liaise with ports, freight agents, or customs.
  • Because container space is limited, changes or cancellations may be subject to fees. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes.
