My Personal Journey
What started as a personal challenge to furnish my home more affordably quickly became a journey that changed everything. Frustrated by the high cost of furniture in the UK, I decided to go straight to the source — travelling to China to explore the factories and furniture markets where many global brands manufacture their products.
By sourcing directly from manufacturers, I was able to fully furnish my home for a fraction of the expected cost, while gaining first-hand insight into how the furniture supply chain really works. I navigated everything from vendor selection and quality control to shipping, customs, duties and delivery — learning the realities, risks and hidden costs that most consumers never see.
That experience went viral online and was featured in national media, but more importantly, it revealed a huge knowledge gap. Many people love the idea of sourcing from China but feel overwhelmed by where to start, who to trust, and how to ship safely.
